Weekly resource workload management dashboard: Load rate, Available work capacity and Overload.
The Resource workload management dashboard is updated in Real-time. It allows to visualize per week and for each resource: Load rate, Available work capacity, Time off and allocated Work.
The dashboard is updated in real-time based on changes made by you or other users with the apps of the Scheduling module.
The dashboard smooths the workload of resources per week. Examples:
- a resource with 3 hours of overload and 3 hours of availability is considered as loaded on the week,
- a resource with 3 hours of overload and 2 hours of availability is considered as overloaded by one hour.
Indicators take into account data smoothing and Dashboard filters.
The gauge takes into account Time off, Allocated work and Available work capacity.
The counter indicates the Available work capacity for the week.
The counter indicates the number of overloaded hours for the week.
The counter indicates the number of hours that have been allocated to generic roles. The corresponding jobs are to be allocated to resources. Use the Workload plan per role to allocate resources (Scheduling > Workload plans > Roles).
The displayed data takes into account the data smoothing.
Table columns can be hidden in the Dashboard settings (see below).
The Load rate is expressed in%. When it exceeds 100%, the resource is overloaded for the week.
Available work capacity = Work capacity - (Time off + Work). Available work capacity is negative when a resource is overloaded.
Sum of Time off are displayed for the week.
The Work is the sum of the job allocations of a resource for the week.
Click the Settings button.
Click on the title of the column to select your sorting criteria.
With the Sort the table in real-time option of the Dashboard settings, when jobs are created or updated in other apps, the dashboard data are sorted automatically based on the selected sort criteria.
Filters allow you to focus on a list of resources.
An "AND" (intersection) is calculated between the different filters. Ex: Role = "Project manager" - AND - Teams = "Consulting" + "Studies" + "Professional Services".
You can save your filters to play them quickly. Want to sort your saved filters? Use prefixes such as: 1-, 2-, and so on.
In tracking mode, you display the dashboard and follow the updates made by your colleagues (Planners, Project managers, Resources).
In management mode, you use the Scheduling apps and return to the dashboard to check the indicators (you can work in two or more tabs of your browser).
In "comfortable" management mode, real-time synchronization makes it possible to work with two screens.
- the first screen with the Dashboard which lists the points to be treated: underload, overloads or jobs to allocate.
- the second to make the changes with other Scheduling apps.
