We are introducing Types in Tasks to allow customers to cross reference tasks across task lists. This gives project leaders a different perspective on their projects. Going beyond that, if you are using types with time estimates, you can have a view of your tasks listed by type with a sum of the time estimates for each type.

You are probably using Timelog to enter records for the time spent on your assigned tasks. What was missing until now was the ability to plan ahead by estimating the time for each task. If your times estimates are accurate, setting milestones for your project will also be more accurate. The other benefit is that if the hours spent are billable, then time estimates will help you determine the right pricing.

Unless you are using projects for day-to-day business operations, you often find yourself with projects which have a limited life span. You can be much more efficient if only active projects are displayed in your account. Deleting the project is never the right solution since you don't want to use the project's content. What you need is the 'Archived Projects' feature, available to administrators in the Administrator section.
Customers often expressed how they cannot add a task with a first comment attached to it. This is now available. One typical example is described below : John, the Project manager can assign a task to someone and send a notification to James and Madeleine saying they should be monitoring this.

In rapidly changing projects, the number of on-going discussions can become overwhelming.
You are rapidly facing a huge amount of topics and discussions which do not require any work or comments but which you do not want to delete because they often contain proof of the reasoning behind some of your company's major decisions.
To solve this you can now close Discussions which are no longer active and require no particpation from members.
From the start email integration has been a key feature. We are now working to take all our emails into HTML. This is available now for mail notifications in Files. The feedback is already great and we are now set to make the same changes in all our email notifications to thing simpler for our users.
This is a no-brainer : most of the time records are usually linked to a task assigned to you and it was more than natural to allow all users to enter a time record directly from a task. For our users doing client work and using Timelog to issue billable hours or even those doing just proper time tracking, there's one step just before updating or completing a task, enter the time spent on it.
